Anonymous Publishing Is Back
Two years. Two very long years.
For those who have been wondering where Anonymous Publishing disappeared to, the answer is complicated — and, frankly, there were times when we weren't entirely sure we'd be coming back at all.
We've spent the last two years fighting legal battles, navigating attempts to shut us down and dealing with enough drama to fill several books of our own. We've been banned in six countries, faced legal action across multiple US states and even had our Paris publishing office vandalised. It has been one hell of a ride.
But here's the thing about Anonymous Publishing: we're rather stubborn.
The people who thought two years of silence meant the end clearly don't know us very well.
Anonymous Publishing is back.
And this time, we're coming back with something we didn't have when we first started — a powerful new team of backers standing behind the operation, helping provide the resources, infrastructure and support required to take the organisation into its next chapter.
And what a chapter it promises to be.
When Anonymous Publishing first appeared in 2021, the idea was relatively simple: create a home for writers, journalists and authors prepared to explore stories that didn't always fit comfortably inside the traditional media landscape.
Four years later, that idea has grown considerably.
Some of the writers who were there at the beginning are still here. They've survived the arguments, the controversies, the legal headaches and the occasional social-media apocalypse. Along the way, we've also picked up some remarkable new voices from around the world.
Educators. Investigators. Political writers. Authors. Industry insiders. People with stories to tell and opinions they aren't afraid to put their names — or sometimes their pseudonyms — behind.
And that, ultimately, is what Anonymous Publishing has always been about.
People. Stories. Questions.
We don't expect everyone to agree with everything we publish. In fact, we'd be disappointed if they did.
Our job isn't to tell readers what to think. Our job is to give writers a platform to tell their stories, ask uncomfortable questions and challenge assumptions — while giving readers the opportunity to make up their own minds.
The world has changed considerably since we first launched. The battle over information, censorship, free expression and who gets to control the narrative has become considerably louder.
So perhaps this is a rather appropriate time for Anonymous Publishing to return.
We're not coming back quietly.
We're rebuilding the website. We're expanding the writing team. We're developing new content. We're bringing back familiar names and introducing new ones. And we're preparing to reach an audience that has grown considerably since those early days.
There will be news.
And to the new readers discovering us for the first time — you've arrived at an interesting moment.
There will be opinion.
There will be books.
There will be arguments.
And, knowing our writers, there will probably be the occasional lawsuit-threatening headache along the way.
But that's alright..
We've been here before.
Two years away has given us plenty of time to think about what Anonymous Publishing should become. The answer is increasingly clear: bigger, broader and harder to silence.
To everyone who followed us from the beginning — thank you for sticking around.
To the writers who stayed when the lights went out — welcome back.
Anonymous Publishing is back.
We've already survived the bans, the lawsuits, the vandalism and two years in the wilderness.
So, to anyone wondering whether we've returned only to disappear again, let us save you the trouble of wondering.
This time, you're going to have to kill us to stop us.
And even then, knowing Anonymous, someone will probably start another website.
