We might not agree with the words written below, but we will fight til our last breath for the authors rights to say them.

I am a boomer; it's a remarkable fact that I'm still here. We survived lead paint, riding bikes without shoes or helmets, and no seat belts or baby capsules. In our teens, we drank mostly beer and cheap weed-killer wine, and we smoked and enjoyed unprotected sex. We never used abortion for birth control. We received no money from the government. Banks required a 10% deposit, and interest rates were 7, 8, and 9%; under a Labour government, they hit 18%. We purchased modest homes up to 70 to 80 kilometres from Sydney. We worked long hours and had children. With no baby bonus or maternity leave. Lots of Kylie's and Craig's. Our first car was a cheap heap of shit, which we spent more time fixing than driving. We weren't confused about gender, only two, not 100, as the sexually confused would have us believe today. A tranny was a portable radio. Homosexuals and lesbians were called lots of different names; the gay word was not one of them. Gay meant happy or joyous. At work, we addressed our seniors as Mr or Mrs. We opened car doors for female passengers and offered them our seats on public transport.

On reflection, I must admit males were sexist to an extent. Also, political correctness hadn't been invented then. We never liked the police, most of us never respected them, but we feared them. We also had the best music. Hardly anyone had tattoos. Our entertainment was a black-and-white TV or drive-in; at the drive-in, we sometimes watched a movie. I estimate a large proportion of Generation X was conceived on the back seat of a car at a drive-in. We only had one flag, The Union Jack with The Southern Cross. We all stood for the national anthem. Some of us were a bit radical. I protested against conscription, the Vietnam War, and French nuclear bomb testing in the Pacific Ocean. I believe we had a good balance of work and leisure. Our education was the three Rs: reading, writing, and arithmetic—leftist ideologues that did not brainwash us. Teachers used discipline. We left school and started working on low wages. There were three rates of pay: males, females, and juniors. Yes, conditions have improved for the better. However, I believe the new generations are under more pressure and stress than we experienced, and I feel for them.

Generation X. What the fuck happened to this lot? I worship women; I am attracted to them. I love their femininity, their gestures, their perfume, and their dress styles. Furthermore, I love sassy females, demure females, and feisty, take no shit females; I've been married to one for 30 years. Females are great organisers, sympathisers, and wonderful mothers; they are caring, thoughtful, and beautiful creatures that I cannot praise enough. They are so attractive that we put up with their whining and nagging.

However, what the fuck happened? Today's young and not-so-you females look like creations of Dr Frankenstein. Not much original. Lip fillers resemble chimpanzees arses. Overdoses of Botox and porcelain teeth veneers Hair extensions dyed unnatural colours, bolt-on boobs Multiple piercings. Nose and eyebrow rings, and nipple rings. Tattoos on untethered tits, their bodies covered with tramp stamps. A nose ring is for cattle. Ladies, they do not enhance your appearance. These accessories make you look cheap and sluttish. Another thing is that gym clothes are for the gym. Parading around a shopping centre in gym attire and proudly displaying your camel toes is not attractive.

As women age, they spend thousands of dollars to defy ageing, making plastic surgeons rich. Some women have had numerous face lifts, resulting in their vagina being under their chin. Speaking of vaginas, what's with the Brazilian? Ladies, have you ever thought God or nature meant it to be covered? I mean, don't have an Amazonian jungle; trim the borders; have a neat lady garden. But not the Sahara Desert. There are still well-groomed natural females, no matter what shape, size, or race; they are feminine and beautiful.

Now I'll start with the young males and those perpetually trying to be young males. Still with the tattoos, the earrings, funny haircuts, and man buns—a man's purse, tight pants, absence of socks, two-day stubble, and the necessity to drive a Ford Ranger or a German-Italian vehicle. A diving watch that's never been underwater. Only drink craft beer. I despair at the thought of these people procreating.

For the younger generation, late teens and early 20s, this lot drives me crazy. I should know that I have two at home. They are obsessed with organic food and healthy living. I told my youngest daughter that in my day we ate sheep brains, lamb fry, kidneys, oxtails, and rabbits. She stated that it made her feel nauseous. Our daughter called my wife and me functioning alcoholics because we enjoy wine every night. A trip to the supermarket with them is a frustrating nightmare. Every item was looked at for salt and sugar content. Was the product ethically manufactured? Where are the ingredients sourced from? Is it organic? This scrutiny even extends to dog food. We had pet dogs as kids; they lived on leftovers. This generation has been brainwashed. Unfortunately, they live in fear of climate change: 'The world is going to end.'

In conclusion, is the past better? I guess every generation thinks so, and every generation has muttered these words to the next generation, "In my day." Today's children of school age are taught that being naturally masculine is toxic. However, the girls are taught that being feminine means being subservient.

I do feel sorry for the next generation. They have difficulty buying a home, plus other pressures. Young men fear asking a female out in case they get accused of sexual harassment. I mean, for fuck's sake, they are most likely not even sure if it is a female. In the future, if both parties agree to have sex, a contract will need to be drawn up by a solicitor and witnessed, stating that both parties mutually agree.

Oh well, just another rant from an old fart. I hope young people get to be old farts.
